CLAN HISTORYJanuary 12, 1842Birth of Ingeri Jorgensdatter Jorgenson (sister of Johannes Jorgenson) who came to the U.S.A. in 1869 May 26, 1868 Departure of Ole Erlandson (father of Elsie) from Norway to the USA at age of 22. He boarded the ship "Pacific" and traveled from Oslo, Norway to Milwaukee, Wisconsin via Quebec, Canada. June 3, 1871 Johannes Jorgenson (father of Engebret) declared his intention to become a naturalized citizen at New Ulm, Minnesota. March 10, 1878 Erland Haagenson, grandfather of Elsie M. Erlandson, took up residence on the land in Baxter Township Lac Qui Parle County Minnesota November 5th, 1880 The Jorgenson Family Homestead was purchased on November 5th, 1880 from the United States of America and sold to Johannes Jorgenson and his wife Kari Jorgenson June 6, 1886 Birth of Engebret Johannes Jorgenson December 13, 1888 Ole Erlandson, father of Elsie M. Erlandson, was married to Karen Lysgaarden, in the township of Baxter, Minnesota March 17, 1889 Birth of Elsie Marie Erlandson April 14, 1905 Wedding of Elsie M. Erlandson to Engebret Johannes Jorgenson April 25, 1909 Boyd Bulletin News Paper Mrs. Johannes Jorgenson, Kari, died at her home in Camp Release Township Sunday, April 25, following many years of sickness.
